From the VP:
Did you know that the leaves in the fall look yellow and orange due to the lack of sunlight and colder temps? These changes in our temperature and decreasing sunlight stop the process of photosynthesis. So, when the green begins to fade the other colors begin to shine through. Now get out and enjoy the beauty!
Fall is here which means so is the BT Epic. This is one of the busiest times of the year for me, but it's also one of the most fun. Having the race is a blast, but the build up to the race is of my favorite parts because of the hard work and the gathering of helping hands. For instance, the MORC BT Epic work weekend on Oct. 8th & 9th. If you didn't join us for last years event, then this is a must. Scott Davis and myself take MORC to Bass River Resort in Steelville, MO. This, in my opinion, is one of the nicest river outfitting resorts in the country and the people there are amazing. We are planning on arriving to Bass at 10am Saturday morning. We will work for a decent portion of the day and enjoy ourselves tremendously that evening with provided food and beverages. You will be put up in a cabin that night, providing your own linens of course, and then we hope to let everyone explore the beauty of the area trails on Sunday.
There has already been much talk of car pools and such, so feel free to get on the events page and discuss.
Now get out, ride your bike, hang with friends, learn something new, and enjoy a new brew!
